Lost Trades Day Jindera Pioneer Museum Sunday 21 March 2021
On a wet and slippery Sunday in March, 4 guild members and friend demonstrated their crafts during the Lost Trades Day held at the Jindera Pioneer Museum.
Jill brought along her spinning wheel and attracted a large interested crowd as she spun.
Rhonda & fellow bobbin lace maker, Jeanette sheltered under the slab hut verandah & demonstrated bobbin lace making.
Vivien demonstrated making wet felt flowers & other small items to several groups of children & adults while Joy manned Vivien’s product stall.
These 3 crafts were demonstrated alongside basket making, quilting, making a dry stone wall, jewellery making to name a few of the lost crafts on display.
A busy day, despite the early star. Thank you to the members & friend who willingly participated.
Feedback from the day: “Hey Viv, what a fun day! Thank you for getting me involved. I would be happy to do that again.”
