Come and learn the ancient art of creating beautiful, unique textiles. Discover how to spin, weave, felt and dye fleece in a sociable and fun group.

You can learn how to make beautiful, individually crafted pieces including blankets, rugs, wall hangings and wearable items such as scarves and shawls.

Learn new skills

You can also learn to spin fleece for weaving and knitting, and discover the myriad colours you can dye yarn! xperiment with modern materials such as metallics and wire.

The Guild has many different types of looms and spinning wheels for you to use and experiment with, plus an extensive library and yarn collection.

The Guild Rooms are open every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm (except Dec and Jan), located under the Grandstand at the Albury Showgrounds, Mate Street Albury.

Membership is $65 per year if you decide to join up. No obligation if you would like to visit! Come and see what we do and meet new friends.

About Us

The Guild was established in 1970 and previously met at the CWA Hall in Kiewa St Albury. In 1983, the Guild moved into the grandstand building at the Albury Showground in conjunction with the Albury Show Society and the Ladies Auxiliary. 1994 saw double doors installed to give access to Harness Racing room.
